In the last couple of days, Mister Duke's wings seem to be making a squeak sound when he flies, kind of like a mourning dove.

I think it has to do with dropping a flight feather? It seems to happen when he's going up or down the stairs, not when he's flying on one level of the house.

Is this a Thing? or something to be worried about?

Loss of specific Primary Wing Feathers will increase the loading on the primary feathers on either side and will cause some noise as air under pressure escapes.

Flying up or down stairs can be compared to continuous take-off or landing as large amounts of air are compressed under the Wings and in front of tail feathers.

Yup, it happens!
