You might end up with a cute cockatiel brother or sister someday !
I went to my favorite birdstore to pick up some more supplies for the Green Overlord (Green Cheek Conure), and I met the sweetest baby cockatiel ! She stepped right up to my finger and was so comfortable, she started grooming herself immediately. She let me scritch her head and turned it so I could get all the right spots. She gingerly inspected my hand with her beak without any pressure at all, unlike a certain green parrot I know.
I'm not in a position to take in another bird, but someday I'd love a cockatiel. This was initially the kind of bird I wanted before I met Kermit (and I did do a lot of research into GCC ahead of time, which initially persuaded me that a cockatiel would be a better fit but... Kermit was awfully cute LOL). They seem so chill and easy going <3
I feel like Kermit will not like this news, haha.

! I've always been nervous around the bigger birds because of their beak size, but she very graciously came right on me when I offered my arm and very gently inspected my scarf and face. I wasn't quite sure what to make of a giant parrot beak on my face, so the employee very kindly took her so she could have a more receptive playmate. I don't plan on ever owning one of those, but it was a very fun experience !
