Hi everyone, Well i was playing with sophie and giving her her meds and i notice the lump which seems to be right where her crop is... is larger today.?. I'm getting alittle more concerned that this is more then just pneumonia. I have never delt with bird illnes in the past so i dont know what to expect. She seems to feel ok but i dont see her eating much, so im going to weigh her. Should i wait a day or so to see if things change with the meds or should i take her to different vet for a new take on whats happening .

pictures would help, that way we can compare from the first one you took.

usually it takes 24 hours for the meds to kick in, you just had her looked at yesterday right?.....did the vet not weigh her?....if he did, weigh her again today and see if there is any difference.
if I had a crop infection I don't think I would be eating too much either.

Ok the lump is Hard, and its below her craop where her food goes. here is the thing and i dont hurt her when i do this. But if i take her and pull her head straight up as to stretch her neck upward the lump seems smaller, but when she is in relaxed mode its huge. the First vet last night tried to tell me that birds necks have that crick in there neck, but the second vet i demand to see didnt seem to think it was normal. So i have no clue ? What does your birds have ? Khaleesi dont have it and Sohpie didnt have it till a yesterday.

I was thinking about tumor... and to be truthful that freaks me out ! wouldnt that have showed up in the xray? if this does not clear up in the nect 48 hours i will drive her to a different vet in nashville ( only 30 mins drive from here ) we are just outside. I took her to a vet that has vets that SAY they work with birds but i dont know.... Well I do live close to TN mike i think maybe i can drive to him LOL
