Daughter and I went for our run this morning and she decided to take the two conures in the shower with her afterward. I heard a huge crash from the bathroom and went racing in thinking maybe she had fallen to find the shower door ON TOP OF HER and her crouched down on the floor with the two birds cradled underneath her.

I'm not sure how it happened, but somehow it came off the tracks and just came down on them. I don't know how she managed to get them off her shoulder and into her arms so quickly, but thank god for her fast reflexes or we would have lost our two littles today. My heart was pounding for an hour afterward.

Thankfully she was not hurt, just very shaken up. Her sun didn't seem too fazed by it (he's the kind who'd start a fight with a T-Rex and think he could win by flying up the nostril and going straight for the brain or something), but my son's green cheek was shaking something fierce. Not a good start to the day.

Oh my gosh, I am so glad that your daughter and the 2 fids are okay! That had to be terrifying, like something from a horror movie. I wonder what on earth made it fall like that?

I wish I knew.. I'm so afraid of it now. I made her finish her shower in my bathroom after hubby put the door back on. I'm going to tear it off and replace it.

I was so shaky afterward I was having trouble pouring myself a glass of iced tea.

I bet, that could have turned out horribly. I think I would replace it as well, just for peace of mind:)

That's horribly frightening! I'm glad no one was hurt.

I'm guessing your weeked project will be putting up a shower curtain or getting a different type of shower door?

:11: I'm so glad that your daughter is fine and her quick reflexes saved the birds! Gosh, that's scary.

My hearts in my throat reading this

That's awful, your poor daughter, thank goodness for her quick reflexes. I'm glad she was able to keep herself and both the littles from getting hurt.
