Sockbuddy?

has anyone tried the sock buddy for their greys that pluck? I just ordered one for Smokey , he is plucking bad now and pretty soon he will have no feathers on his chest , I have the collar from the refeathering kit I tried that earlier today , it only took him 10 minutes to destroy that , I was pretty sure I had it on tight with out choking him but he got it turned around and chewed the Velcro and the leather , so much on that idea , at least with the sock buddy I can buy more socks to replace the ones he will destroy , without spending a fortune , I have run out of ideas on him , he has me lost heres some pics I took of him today , if you go back to earlier posts you will see he has lost lots of feathers

I have used it with much success with my Grey. The kit comes with 2. Buy some socks and make a bunch more. At first they destroy it pretty quick, but keep replacing it. Eventually they pick at it less and less. Mine hasn't had to wear a sock buddy in a least 6 months now. I keep them on hand though and at the first sign than she might pluck again, it goes right back on....but so far so good.

It is a very affordable comfortable big help! I have only good things to say about it!! Good luck and don't get upset if at first you go through lots of socks (she would shred hers in 2-3 days), keep at it and you will see results!

Every thing I have read on the sock buddy has been great. I work with a grey that I have been trying to get the owner to use one.

Echo do you have any pics of your grey before and after the sock buddy? and what keeps them from pulling out the feathers on their legs? and one more question what kind of material do they use for a sock buddy? I have white cotton stretchy socks the come above my ankles I call them my winter socks because they are mid way from ankle to knee will those kind of socks work?
