DNA results are in....and Pierre is a she. I mean I COULD keep the name, but it just doesn't feel right anymore haha so I have a million names and I was wondering if I could get opinions! :) My favorite so far is Amara. But other options are Sage, Jane, and Bea. Thanks guys!

Love Amara - very cool name:)

How old is Pierre? Does she already know her "Pierre" name? The SAME THING happened to me, the breeder told me Fiji was a boy, and then I had her DNA'd and it turned out he was a SHE. Luckily, the name Fiji worked too. Amara is a pretty name! I vote for that one.

I just got her a few weeks ago and she is only 7-8 months, still a baby! I keep catching myself refer to her as him though haha its so confusing! How old was Fiji when you found out he was a she? I'm really trying to win the family's vote for Amara too but everyone has their own favorites. I'll just start calling her that and see if it catches on hehe;)

It definitely limits names when you're trying to find something gender neutral. Thinking about all of the possibilities if I knew the gender, I'd definitely change it! Amara is pretty :)

Well, Pierre starts with a PEE sound, so BEA isn't a stretch really. I'm sure your bird would get over it either way though. :)

You could always stick with a French "theme" and call her Paris... But I like Amara & Saige too!!! :)

Amara was vetoed by the fam :( Instead, we are going with Lola since she has yellow feathers in her hair ;) haha so corny!
