This is not about parrots but wild Ravens. I was at a ski resort and looked out to see a Raven in the snow then I see it flipping its wings. IT WAS TAKING A SNOW BATH!!!

Have you ever seen this before? My husband was like "Yeah all the time." Well I did not know birds did this. Did you?

I saw this in a nature documentary . The ravens were playing in the snow. Rolling over and over, sliding down a steeply pitched roof, and taking a "snow bath".
I have read that only animals with a high order of intelligence "play".

At the place I work hundreds of crows fly over in the evening on there way to their roosting sights. Most of them just fly strait across but the younger ones like to zoom around the buildings and trees chasing each other. The enjoyment they show in their game of chase and flying is obvious to anyone who takes the time to look up and watch.

Yes! Ravens have been reported to run up snowbanks and then slide down them on their back. They even laugh/cackle as they do this! It is a sign of higher intelligence as there is no evolutionary advantage to doing this other than to play!

This is sweet.
