- Presently have six Greenwing Macaw (17 yo), Red Fronted Macaw (12 yo), Red Lored Amazon (17 y.o.), Lilac Crowned Amazon (about 43 y.o.) and a Congo African Grey (11 y.o.)
Panama Amazon (1 Y.O.)
So, this morning when I was getting breakfast for the birds, Tusk and Lila were doing their usual waddling around on the floor number. Tusk decided to hide under the macaw cage, and he will routinely play a game where he pops his head out and grab one of my toes as I walk by...
Only this time he did it just hard enough to make me jump. Problem was I had two full bowls of water in my hand at the time... which of course, immediately sent a large puddle of water splashing down on Tusk's head...
This is a bird that absolutely HATES water. He was NOT amused.
He popped his head out again, and gave me a look that would kill... and then said, "HEY! WHAT'S THAT STUFF?!"
That's a phrase I use with him when he's acting up... doing something he's not supposed to do. "Dad, I was only playing. Why'd you dump water on my head? That was sooooo not cool!"
