I'm sure EVERYONE says this.....but WOW, are we finding out just how smart these birds are!!!!! Tokie is just amazing.....she loves my husband....(she belonged to a man before....) and the minute she hears his voice, she hollars for him.....she will go easily into her cage, for him....when told too (in Spanish)...guess she doesn't understand my southern accent!!! She loves to be out.....and preens and plays for hours....we still sit out with her, since it is outside.....living in Mexico, it is warmer.....last night was the 1st time we brought her in, cage into the house) becasue it was windy and in the mid 50's....but today, while my husband was out with her.....we have her shaded from the sun, with a cloth on our iron gate by her cage...attached with clothes pins.....well, in 10 seconds, she learned how to get those off...and when he put them on the OTHER side of the gate and hidden by drop cloth...she stuck her head UNDER the dropcloth, and reached the new clothes pin, and figured out how to pinch it, to make it open to get it!!!!!! He loves the idea of making her a play pen.....I think he loves her as much as she loves him.....he will soon be joining the forum too....becasue now, he wants to do as much as he can for her.....she is still so entertaining.....it just amazes us both......we have started keeping the radio on, if we leave, so it keeps her company...does anyone else do this....(we keep the TV on for the dogs....) just for noise so they don't bark at every sound outside.....figured if she has the radio, she won't squawk at every sound she hears.....if we are gone!!!!
