Sleeping question

I have a 2 year old Sun Conure and for about the last 7 or 8 months we have changed his sleeping routine. Before, we had him sleeping in his main cage and we would put a cover over him. Now we have him sleeping in a separate sleeping cage in my closet with the door closed. It is darker and it is quieter then when he was in his main cage.

However now that it is getting warmer it is getting a little stuffy in the closet. I dont want him to suffocate in there. Is this something I should be concerned about? If yes, what can I do to try and fix it?

Also sometimes he gets grouchy, nippy, and unusually loud, during the day, should I be putting him down for naps, or maybe just alone time? I read someplace that this lady does that....something I should consider?

Thanks in advance for your help!:orange::orange:

You might try having him sleep somewhere else at night.

He is of age for hormones, so you might want to consider redirecting his behavior to toys and foraging instead. Give him something to do and keep him busy so he may be less likely to bite. If he's really chewy, give him a phone book to destroy!
