1 normal grey cockatiel, 1 green cheek conure
Sometimes Bandit will sleep with one foot tucked up. Is this normal for him? I know it's normal when my cockatiel does it but I wasn't entirely sure about conures

Mishka my African Grey also sleeps on one foot, often exchanging feet during the night.
I reckon it is normal.

My fiance asked why I didn't just google it, which I easily could have I suppose, but I prefer to ask my questions on here because I like getting responses from people who have conures and know what they're talking about. It eliminates the wondering if the website google gave me is reliable haha.

My book i have on parrots says Sleeping on 1 foot is actually a sign of a healthy bird. Sleeping on 2 feet means your bird may be sick or unhealthy.

My green cheek conure Benji does it all the time when he sleeps. It is completely normal.

I think most parrots sleep with a foot up. I call it "retracting the landing gear" since Kiwi gets puffy when he sleeps, his whole foot disappears like a planes landing gear would. It's very cute, and a sign of security and contentment in their environment.

This makes me very happy. Knowing that my the bird i've had for just over 2 weeks is content and happy enough to grind and sleep with his foot tucked.. It's a really nice feeling haha
