I'd say if she's happy, let her sleep wherever she likes. :)

You'll just have to be even more vigilant about keeping the bottom of the cage clean. Is she young? If she's balance-shy, that might make her want something more stable, especially if she's fallen a time or two. If so, she'll grow out of it.

I can't speak to the yellow.

If your AV has checked then the only thing you can really do is let her sleep where she likes or get a second opinion with another AV.

My GCC Chia likes to sleep on the oustide of the cage between the cage and wall behind her food dish....I have no idea why but the snuggy hut sure was a waste of money lol

angel used to sleep at the bottom of her cage when she was a bit younger, i just let her sleep where she was happy, she now sleeps on a perch at the very top of her cage. i think young birds tend to sleep at the bottom, a friend of mine say's its quite common x

Tori sleeps on one of the highest perches in his cage with his little snuggle corner thing, but he doesn't so much prefer that height as he does that particular perch. I'm sure if I moved it to the bottom of the cage he would sleep there too.

Linius sleeps in a happy hut, but its common for young birds to sleep on the bottom of cages. Even for some breeds to sleep on their backs! lol. Its mainly because younger birds havent developed the skill to roost on a perch and would much rather practice during the day than risk it at night. Hope that helps some ^.^
