Just brought home my new baby green cheek conure yesterday.

He seems really happy and active and has been flying all around the house.

When I put him in the cage for sleep time however, he goes to sleep on the bottom in the back corner. I have tried putting him on the perch but he just climbs off and goes back to the bottom.
I am really worried about him?

he is very handsome, I love conures.

if he appears to look ok, not puffy, droppings are ok, and is eating and acting normally that is fine.
my young conures did that as well, for a bit, even though I put a sleepy hut in the cage.
if you have one, you can lower it where he likes to sleep, and he will eventually crawl in it.
then raise it every few days, and before you know it he'll be at the top.

Awww! He's a cutie! I wouldn't be concerned with him sleeping in the corner as long as he's healthy otherwise.

btw, my Dusky's name was Kaya when I adopted her. I added a K and made it Kayak which seemed more fitting with her crazy personality.

Hi lots of my conures prefer to sleep under the newspaper in the bottom of the cage. They seem to feel safer down there, it is normal greencheek behaviour nothing to worry about as long as it is eating ok.
My Sun Conure Zak does not sleep under it but he will sleep down the bottom in a corner some times as well.
