Does anyone have a different cage for their birds to sleep in? I put my quaker and IRN in a sleep cage/it's a divided double cage, to sleep in that is in another room where it is quiet. I've been rolling their cages back and forth day and night from the bedroom to living room and that got old so I bought the sleep cages....they don't like it at all. this is the 3rd night and when we start to walk back to the bedroom in the evening they start fighting it and fight going into the sleep cage! lol.....any advice? I had the cage around them with food and treats and toys for a few weeks so they would get use to seeing it and being on it but they don't like it. Anyway else dealt with this before??

I just throw a cover over the cage at night. My little Conure calms down and stays quiet until morning.

I use two sleep cages that works really well. Both these birds had not previously been used to this. Routine usually goes playtime/cuddles with us and then up to bed, not back to main cage.

Do you put in treats, something to look forward to? Also put in a couple of toys. We also leave uncovered for a short while and go back to say goodnight when they shout they are ready LOL. Pair it with good things and see how it goes.

My guy loves his sleep cage! When it is getting late, we go hang in my room, where the cage is. We watch videos and such, much like putting a toddler to bed, giving time to wind down. Most times, he then flies into his cage when ready. Otherwise he starts dozing on my shoulder, an I move him in! Remember, cage time is special treat time!
Wanted to add, I have water and seed in the sleep cage! This mix is different from the others I use.
