Skittles and Sherbet

After my last question about Skittles being plucked, the birds were constantly staying in their nesting box, only coming out for food and water.

Yesterday when they were out, we discovered that we have 7 eggs!!!!!!!!!!

What kind of food do I need to feed the parents, I'm giving them a nutritious seed mix, that has pellets in it and they get fresh fruit everyday.

Hopefully the chicks (when they hatch) are parent raised, what type of food do I need for the chicks?

Since it seems this is their first clutch, you might want to curb your excitement and stay out of the nestbox as some parents get upset with looking around in their nestbox, to the extent of destroying the eggs.....

As to foods, calcium rich foods are best for the hen, so that her body can replay the calcium used to create the egg shells and if you are going to let the parents raise the chicks, the foods you feed the parents will be prepared and fed to the chicks and be weaned to feed on the diet the parent are fed.....
