size PVC?

My husband is wondering what size PVC would be good to use to build Tokie a play pen perch. He has found a picture of one he is going to try to build....Thanks in advance. Tokie is a Military Macaw.

I use the standard one inch diameter pipe.

I used 3/4" for my play stand. I have mini macaws, ekkies, and small/med toos. One inch might be better for the military macaw.

I use 1" PVC for Bonny (her stand is still a work in progress). I made this stand for a pair of African Grey's using 3/4". Having Bonny on 1" and 3/4", I would go with the 1".
