Do Zons like bathing the way Conures do, or am I just supposed to spritz him down periodically?

Never mind. I've just answered my own question

Each bird is different I had a parakeet who loves to be spritzed. My zone HATES spritz he will only bathe in his drinking water :(

KIWI My OWA does not like to be sprayed. SHe only likes Showers while my DYH doesn't like showers...

No such thing as a silly question. :)

Both my Amazons prefer spray baths (misting) over taking them into the shower. Now that it's warm out, I put them on a plastic garden chair and turn the hose on mist. They could sit there forever. It's a riot to watch. :D

Neither of them every took a bath in a water bowl or in the sink.

Quincy does NOT like being misted or the shower! I have a bowl specifically for him to bathe in. Although, he still uses his drinking bowl now and then. I just have to clean it right after.

Savannah is just starting to get into the shower. She doesn't freak out but won't go under the stream, so I usually put her under. In time I think she will love it.

Like everyone else has mentioned, every bird is different.

My zon hates all water.!!!! VERY rarely she'll dip her front in her water bowl but that's it.
She really needs showers tho, each to their own I guess. Just a case of finding what your bird likes??

I have a breeder pair of OWAs , had them a long tome. Rod and Reel, Rod the male HATES showers with the garden hose, Reel the hen just goes crazy. Poor Rod just stands there, looking disgusted while his wife has a grand old time, too funny.

I have some that like showers while others prefer to bathe on their own (the wild-caught) so I guess it depends on the bird.

ALL my birds like spray baths except one but I do take the big ones with me in the shower and they're fine too. Malachai don't do well with neither spray or shower....He absolutely hates bath....

I have learned that Panama's really like water and need to be bathed/showered often. Try to find out how the breeder baths your boy and follow that and if you want to wash your parrot a different way gradually expose him to the new way.

Valentino my RFM is a sink bather and loves running water. At the breeders house this is how he learned to bath. I have taken him in the shower and still do take him in there with me but he always falls asleep in there so he won't lift wings or fluff feathers for bathing. I end up having to pick him up and lift his wings for him to make sure his parts get wet. For a type of parrot from the desert he sure acts like a wet rain forest parrot. I have to lock him up when I do dishes or he will jump into the dish water. Valentino prefers his kitchen sink baths.
