Hi i have a galah that drinks water and vomits it back out and when he dose a poop its black he dose not act like a galah would and lookd like she wants to sleep all the time and he wont eat unless i get fresh milo and other seed from the garden i know this thread is for this bird but its too late to take him to the vet

How about an emergency vet? Please don't wait. Black stools are blood.

Birds are very delicate, so the sooner your bird gets to a vet the better.

i will search better and it looked like a normal poo he did just then but cant tell because it fell on old seeds have to wait agian and he will just drink water and vomit like he is forcing him self

I'm sorry your bird is sick, but the best possible advice anyone can give you is to get the bird to an Avian Veterinarian as soon as you possibly can. It sounds like the bird is seriously ill. Is it possible something from the garden may have come in contact with insecticides or fertilizer? How long has your bird been sick? I would offer the bird water and soft food, pellets or cooked veggies or grains, but I wouldn't force the bird to eat. It's also important to keep the bird warm until you can get him or her to a vet. I wish you the best, please keep us updated.

No chance of the plants doing it to him my cockatiel eats them as well and he is all good and have not been sprayed with anying it seems no vet is open so have to wait i am keeping him in my room and he seems better he is running up and down the bed and i dont know about his poop i was reading if theh have not ate its black and its changed

Keep him warm and still, unfortunately that's all the advice I can give you, sorry :(
I'm so sorry your galah is sick as well, that sucks!

How is he doing now? When does the vet open?

Does black poop mean bleeding higher up in the intestines in birds too?

He wont eat seeds or fruits or vegetables but he likes the fresh stuff i pick he eats the seeds from them and the the roots the vet opens at 6 and he is doing ok i just put the blow dryer on warm and just warm him up abit now and then

Don't put it too close to him, it might just stress him out way more and overheat him.
Is he drinking?

he is used to it and likes it he has been drinking water aswell

He will dehydrate and can die from that . If you want to save him find a vet even if you have to travel. You cannot wait ,even if he seems fine for a minute. Ive had birds die from this.

I would like to add, please don't use a hairdryer on your bird anymore unless you know for sure that it does not have a teflon coating. Most have a teflon grate inside, which is a chemical that can be very dangerous for them.

Mek, do you know of the old ones from like the 90s, possibly mid/late 80s have Teflon, or if it's just in the newer ones? Could be good to know :)

Conair doesn't use teflon but I'm not sure about very old models.
