My littlest bird seems lethargic today, he's just sitting around, not doing much. Was playing a little, but really not as active as usual. Should I take him to the vet, or wait a few days? In the meantime, is there anything I can do for him today?

Does he appear fluffed up? Is he perching normally? How do droppings look? Is he eating and drinking? Does the cere appear normal?

The short answer is, if you are concerned, the safest thing to do is get him to an avian vet, but finding one open on a Sunday could be tricky.

Keep him warm and reduce stress, make sure favorite foods are available to eat. And it would probably be safest to separate him from your other birds if they are housed together or in close proximity.

He's not fluffed, his cere is ok, his eyes are bright, he's just sleepy. His droppings are good. I think I will call vet tomorrow. I'm just worried, he's kind of a runt, lol.

Well, to update, my little guy just must have been having an off day. He sat in the sun and slept, and by the evening, he was singing away, and yesterday he was back to normal. Yea!

Glad he wasn't sick. Sounds like he was just tuckered out. Maybe he was up late playing while everyone else was asleep.
