Shy talker

I've only heard Billy chunter to himself until yesterday, I was working behind the cupboard and he didn't know I was there, at first I thought it was someone on the radio, it was so clear I sat listening to him for a couple off minutes, I then answered him and he looked embarrassed if a parrot can look that way.
Makes me wonder what else he gets upto when there's nobody around.

Billy is starting out as many many bird do "closet talker"
He will continue until he feels more confident.
Best advise, keep talking and talking, 24/7, birds listen to everything we say, and remember most words, even if they are not saying them now.
I have taught Mishka (my male AG) some words and phases, sometimes he only says them weeks later.
Sure he is saying more than what you think he is. Leave a recorder/camera on, leave the room, bet you will be shocked how many more words he knows.
