Should I invest in a Jave Tree?

I was wondering if I should invest in a Java tree or focus on play gyms and portable bird stands?

As much as I love my Java trees, I think you will be MUCH better off with portable play stands. For the price of a Java tree, I think you'll be able to get several REALLY nice play stands.

I wish I could lug my Java trees around, but they are so heavy and bulky it's not really possible.

If you want something tall, I recommend the manzanita tree stands because they come in different sizes and much less expensive compared to a java stand.

As much as I adore java and manzanita stands, at $280-$800 they are far out of my price range. That's just insane.

I'm trying to build my own. Out of cheaper materials, and if Mr. Wood Chewing Cockatoo eats it, I can just replace the branches.

If you really like the cube thing, you should build it out of PVC yourself. That's crazy expensive for what it is!

I completely agree with Nocturnal. Anything you see made out of PVC, you can make it yourself for the fraction of the price you'd pay in a store. PVC is super easy to work with, too, and if you don't want to use PVC perches, you can always substitute with real wood.

absolutely not! dont get one of those trees! they are overpriced!
My tree stand was 100 % free.

i left the bark on there because she chews it. its got more grip than i java tree would and its much much lighter. Ill never buy a java tree.
