So I decided to start working at the shelter part time to get some extra money while I'm looking for a new job that I actually want. I spent yesterday at the shelter and going through some of the macaws for out time while I was doing stuff. And most of them are the iffy ones. Well that went fine...I handled all the bitey macaws I had out just fine no injuries for me....then I slice my hand on one of the freaking labels! Seriously, the macaw trying to eat me no trouble but the inanimate object got me...
I'll have to get pictures of everyone next time! Most of them are macaws I've never posted here so you guys would get to meet some of our long term residents.
On the other hand the new hybrid macaw Ruby is super crazy and so very excitable. She needs some chill pills majorly...and I would not trust her to save my life...she kept watching to see when I was in range to take a swipe at my head while she was sitting on the stand.
