She is one of the umbrella cockatoos. She is technically up for adoption but we have all figured she will be staying with the shelter since she is insanely loud in a home setting. Once you put her in a cage in a house she starts screaming and doesn't stop. Out in the rescue surrounded by the others she is much quieter. She is an exceptional umbrella and does extremely well at expos. Loves the attention she gets from everyone and she is great with kids. Even the tiny ones can hold her without issue.

What is going on in that photo is the girl is always hormonal...she is panting. All you have to do is touch her neck or graze a feather and off she goes

Hmmm, for some reason I guessed immediately what was going on in the photo!

Nina's a beauty, I hope she finds a mom or dad worthy of caring for her. If not, she looks pretty happy in her current situation.

What a beautiful and playful girl!! Guess her challenges are the product of previous homes and personality. At least she's not a plucker, and seems to have a great supportive "flock."
