She left today

Rosy left today. She went back to my parents house. I miss her so much,and I saw the sadness in her little face when I was putting her in the car. What's worse was when I was putting the belt on around the travel cage she said "kiss kiss ( kissing noise)".

She was very upset with I was packing her toys and taking them out of the cage. Than she became very quiet, like she knew she was leaving. I'll see her next month when I visit my parents house.

It's hard to leave our precious fids! We didn't take Baxter to my in-laws for the weekend (gone only 2.5 days) and I cried as we drove away. AND, I checked on him via Baxter-cam about every 30 minutes!

She knows you're her family, too. Birds are so empathetic. She's lucky to have so many members of her family and extended family love her so much. Sorry you miss her, though. I can only imagine.

Don't worry, as OOwl said, she's lucky to have many caring friends and family to look after her! I am sure the wait will go quickly. We will certainly miss our fids for the duration of our trip!

Thank you everyone for your kind words. Rosey is my Parent's Galah. I was looking after her because they got their carpet cleaned and I had her with me for about 2 months. I do miss her very much. Face timed with her and she sure gave me a beak full, crest up and all the too' vocabulary she can come up with, at least at the end she said "kiss kiss". My parents told me she's been quiet all day. I guess she misses the craziness of my house and my children.

Awww geez...I had tears in my eyes reading your post Rosey is such a beautiful girl! And like what all the others have stated,she is so lucky to have a very large,loving family! Oh boy,a WHOLE MONTH?? lets hope it passes quickly!
