I sure do hope this is the end of it all.She is still sitting on them too.
I want my baby back but everytime I take her out she just wants to mate with me.So its been almost two weeks and she has been stuck in her cage with just a little time out now and again.

How much longer will this last? I really miss having her hanging on me 24/7

Thanks all..

It will last however long it takes her to figure out that the eggs aren't going to hatch. Normal incubation time is from 22-25 days.

Cant I just take them away and she will forget about them?

That would not be a wise thing to do as she may lay more eggs to cover the ones you've thrown away!

No do not take them, she will just lay more to replace them. The only thing you can do is wait until she loses interest.

Doris If it's breeding season in your location then it's very possible even after you turf the eggs in another week, she may double or even triple clutch. It's their way of replacing the eggs lost.

You will have to reconsider how you handle her & don't stimulate her if possible. Also you may have to discard any sleeping box, tent, happy hut what ever she sleeps in at night to discourage nesting. Don't know if it will help though but worth a try.

I havent handled her in two weeks, actually since she started all this nonsense..If I let her out she mates with me.Or she drops to the floor and starts pecking the rug(another new behavior)..Ill leave in the eggs.Hope they dont start getting smelly.

She will abandon them in time before they rot then you can toss them.
