sharpie fumes?

I was using sharpies for my project in the room with my bird and just stopped a second ago because I'm not sure if Sharpie fumes are bad for birds. Are the bad at all to use around birds?

Oh, also wondering about highlighters and markers?

I would avoid using it around the bird, like use it in another room to be safe, thats what I do.

Avoid it!!! When you pull the cap off a Sharpie or any other marker and you can spell it, imagine how it smells to your bird whose sense of smell is so much stronger than ours. You birds should be no where around when using such things.
