Is there any way of telling the difference between male and female galah around 12 months old and what age do they start breeding?

You can often tell by the eye - red is female, black is male. Unfortunately there are also oranges, browns and burgundies where gender is less obvious, so if it's not bright red or coal black and you need to know for sure, a DNA test would be the best way forward.

I have a feeling juveniles are uniformly brown, but I don't know for sure - perhaps someone can confirm?

I don't know about all juveniles, but chili is 6 months old with brown eyes. Dr thinks boy, but we're currently awaiting DNA results.

Cockatoos, in general, can be sexed by eye color, like jayyj said.
