severe macaw not eating

hi i recently bought a severe macaw.he's about 5 months old. after i bought him, he got sick & apparently he had a bad yeast infection. he's good now, however he hardly eats. before he ate all the time. now sometimes i no he's hungry & i put all different things for him to eat. he mostly bites up the fruits into pieces but does not eat it. he does not look sick tho..he's very active & playful. i think he lost his appetite when he was sick but now i dont know what to do for him to get it back. what do i do??

Have you had a follow-up visit with the vet??? If not, you should! What else are you feeding him???

Are you able to weigh him? Having a good scale is helpful as a bird owner.

It's definitely time to take him to the vet.. Lots of his favorite foods should be made available to him.. like fruits, nuts, veggies..
