So, I got an idea and I ofc went through with it. As always lol. So, here is the ground extension for cricket!

As you can see, I even used pants so she can return to her cage when she wants. The quilts soften the blow when she makes the leap of faith into the floor. Rico likes being on the floor too so it can work for ground foragers such as: Australian parakeets, cockatiels, Quaker parakeets, and the like. I plan on making a foraging tray too for this. And now I donā€™t have to make sure Rico isnā€™t eating random things off the floor and I blocked off the gaps he could slip into. Itā€™s a win!

What a great idea for a ground playground for Cricket and Rico!
Thank you! One of the few times an idea was good and worked! Cricket definitely seems to like it and so does rico!
Just make sure nobody walks into your room and steps on one of them!
Yup, no one goes past my closet which is good. And I have a chalkboard sign outside my door so I could write ā€œCAUTION: BIRDS ON FLOORā€
