Hi folks,
As some of you know, we're thinking of adding an African grey to our family. I've gotten some great advice last time I posted on here about it, so I'd like to get a bit more, please.
Yoda, our GCC is about 1 1/2 years old now. He is out of his cage all day when we are there (I work from home and we don't go out much), he's pretty much only in his cage at night. He is super affectionate and cuddly and happy. Assuming that the new grey isn't at all aggressive and the two of them don't fight (we'll keep them under close watch), how will this affect Yoda and his wonderful personality? Is this likely to change his personality and make him feel jealous or insecure or less friendly to us? I've heard some people say Fids can be happier, less lonely/screamy when they do have to be in their cage when we have to run errands. What do you all think?
Also, how bad is the powder from a CAG? Will it be all over us and home or just in his room?
Thanks!
