Yesterday I decided to try to make a loft for silas. He was on his play stand while I was installing it, but he decided that he was needed to supervise the installation and he came to the cage.

While I was zip tieing it in place he carefully load tested each connection and also carefully inspected the outside corner suspension for proper load bearing capabilities. Mind you during this process he was not chewing things, he was truly just testing each connection.

When I was done ,He showed me that for safety reasons he needed a fire escape egress rope on the outside corner. I installed it and it was properly load tested.

Once he was fully satisfied that the installation was up to code, he promptley climbed into his new loft and took a nap.

Engineering and Inspections are a tough job!!

Great story, and he's a handsome fellow! Mine would just have sat in the corner saying "What are you doing? I don't like change..."
