Good evening

My name is Scott and i am Max's Human.

Max belongs to my 11 year old Son, Edward, but lives with me.

Max is an 11 month old Blue Front Amazon who we got from a lady without the time to spend with him.
Max has been here for around 2 months, some of which have been very trying, some extremely happy.
I still have all my fingers and ears, so that is a start i suppose

Welcome to the forums Scott and welcome to the much different world of being slave to a feathered friend or two or more.....

I'm pretty sure that if you read up on & begin touch training and/or clicker training, for you and Max, all should return to a comparative normality in short order.....

The problem lies in we human's belief that bringing companions into our homes is akin to kittens & puppies...feed them, play with them, give them a ball & everything will be fine.....nope, it doesn't work that way.....like pre-school children, they need to learn boundaries and limitations and since it seems Max has decided to attempt to exercise his perceived leader of the flock position, he needs to be apprised of the rules of the house.....

There are a lot of decent instructional text on the internet and there are several decent video clips on youtube, for your educational pleasure.....your son should also be involved the training lessons also.....

I used to be in Rochdale but am now in Warrington so not all that far. Do you have Max registered at a vets yet? (I know of a wonderful few in your reach)
