Scamper the Penguin (or Lolol the Penguin)-anyone?!

I used to watch a movie called "Scamper the Penguin" when I was a kid. I made fun of it even then, yet I still watched it constantly. My mom bought it from some sort of mail-in school fund-raiser or from a door-to-door salesman...I can't recall....


Here's a little gem from this Russian/Japanese film (which apparently was originally called, Lolo the Penguin).

1:12+ LOL- This version is in Russian---mine wasn't but it's not that different. SO much more serious than kids movies today--my how things have changed LOL! ALSO- 1:47 (that sound when they hit the cage). As a kid, I remember thinking that they could totally slide out of those cage-bars if they just turned sideways (emphasis on the importance of proper bar-spacing haha).

And now, for the finale---Start with 1:50 (watch the babies get stolen and the old man get shot)--I CAN'T IMAGINE SHOOTING AN ATTACKING PENGUIN FROM 50 FEET AWAY...anyway....This is what happens when you poach baby penguins (3:54+--emphasis on 4:30) omg/ahaha---I can't believe my parents weren't concerned by our interest (and simultaneous mockery) of this film! As a kid, I was like "Heck yeah, those poacher jerks deserved to die!" and I still feel that way now....However, it's really funny to see it in a kid's film LOL...seriously...the wave and lack of resurfacing men is pretty epic/darK.
