Gday everyone. Ok, we have been searching for a new feathered family member for a while now, and I was amazed to find so many scammers pretending to sell birds. Dumbfounding to me. So now I have just been contacted by a company who call themselves Osong parrots farm. They keep wanting me to purchase but are giving me very little info in return. Has anyone had any dealings with this company? And of so, was it a good outcome? Hence joining this group to see if we can get some direction... Back in Australia we can get so many of these beautiful birds free.. so price point always freaks me out lol

googled them and definitely a scam. They sell parrot eggs which is the biggest red flag. And considering they're reluctant to give you any kind of information that's another huge red flag. definitely head the other direction.

Cheers Owlet. I thought the same thing.. but I always like the extra input.. I'm not used to paying for birds as ack in Australia, we get so many of these birds free, as they're all over the place.. and finding reputable people here is harder than I thought it would be.. so thanks again mate.

Gday Flboy, we have checked out a couple of rescues in our area already, but they wanted to keep the border they rescued. Understandable as they saved them and grew bond. So we are still searching. We personally really like Major Mitchell's, Galahs, and sulpher crested or umbrella cockatoos. All birds I was bought up with. We did have one rescue, an umbrella, she was older and loved me, but attacked my wife any chance she could. So we found an older couple who she adored immediately... After a few visits and once we knew they had bonded, we let her go with them. Since then however, my wife and daughter have begged me for one ....
