Sassy's been with us for a year!

Time has gone by so fast! Saturday was her "gotcha" day! I wanted to post this Saturday but got sidetracked and then got called in to work on Sunday (boooo...hisssss).

She's come so far since she first came home! Now she is my BEST eater! She will at least "try" anything I give her in the veggie and fruit line..may not eat it all but will at least try it. Her favorite I think is brown rice with broccoli and carrots. She eats her pellets now and a little seed. When she came here her previous owner had her on a seed diet with peanuts, dry pasta, dry rice (which I know was not right!) and froot loops cereal mixed in. Needless to say, I changed that! After two months of bruises and band aids, she came to me and has been awesome...a different bird! After her last molt she is so bright! I'm so proud of her! She's such a good girl!

I gave her a new toy for our one year anniversary and gave her her favorite treat "grilled cheese".

Congratulations Leanna, and Happy Belated Gotcha Day to Sassy! You and Sassy have made excellent progress, she's fortunate to have found you. It's amazing to watch a bird change and thrive in a healthy environment and so rewarding.
