Yellow Shoulder Amazon, Salty
This is a pic of the first time Salty and Amy met. Actually Salty has not seen another parrot since he saw his sibling when I got him. Salty and Amy did the parrot kissy face thing, and then I kind of got in the middle because Salty was looking a bit pissed off, what with Amy sitting on HIS boing.

Great pic of two wonderfully health /happy Amazons! So glad that you folks where able to make it happen!

Wow! Interesting they would be willing to 'kiss' each other upon first meeting:) Either very excited to meet another of their own kind or perhaps a little upset about the territory thing. Did they seem intrigued with each other in a friendly way?

When Kiwi met my parents zons (and many, many subsequent meetings) they just sit there like lumps, wholly unimpressed/uninterested in each other:rolleyes:.

Nice close-up there Al..;) Like I have mentioned before,Amy loves meeting new things, people, birdies. I think Amy was excited, and Salty was a tad territorial, after all,it WAS his first meeting of another birdie. But during the whole visit,we didn't see any animosity between them, and the Salt Man was very nice,in sharing his stuff with Amy lol.

Jim, I didnt take the pic, Brett did.. I am in the back of the shot, on hair trigger to pull them apart , if things had gone south. I agree, Salty was getting a little territorial. Actually since Sunday he's been a mite pissed at me, maybe for allowing this other bird to mess with 'his' stuff? Refusing to do some tricks, but not all, and for the first time being a little bitey. Next month is his 1st birthday, so perhaps a bit of the hormones starting?

Hormones..could very well be Al..Sorry to hear Salty is ticked off at you
Lets hope he doesn't hold a grudge for too long!
