Safe Branches

I'm trying to locate a good place to collect safe branches to make my parrot a big play stand thing.

I live in the UK and live next to a massive commercial forest full of pine trees but suspect they may use pesticides and other nasty things there. Do you think a nature reserve should be a reliable place to collect non toxic branches as I have a few of them nearby.
