Hi I am a new african grey owner. Her name is Ruby and I adore her already. She is a very sweet girl, rather neglected when I got her 3 weeks ago. Very thin in feathers but not plucking. My big and worrying problem is that she has no interest in food of any kind, seed or pellet and won't touch anything fresh at all. She will only eat cheddar biscuits and monkey nuts. She is bright, alert and seems very settled with me, but under weight and skinny. Have read loads and general opinion is that she will adjust with time but am worried about er general health. Would really appreciate some help. Thanks

Welcome to the forum and thank you for giving an older bird a new home. I'm sure some CAG parronts will join in and offer advice. I'd advise getting a digital kitchen scale that weighs in Grams. Weigh her as a routine in the AM before feeding. monitoring her weight is your best friend if working on her diet. Loads of CAG people on here. Check out that section of the forum and join right in.
