Okay, Max and Ruby were out of sorts today...Jade was fine, so I'm ruling out something in the house. I'm sure Max's problem is that my husband is on a business trip and Max misses him (weird how Max got so attached to him so suddenly).

I really had no idea what could have been wrong with Ruby. She was snippy toward me - which is very odd - and unusually "snotty" to Jade. I was so annoyed with her that I considered putting her to bed early.

Max went to bed early because he was trying to chew on the TV and wouldn't leave it alone. As soon as he was in his cage, Ruby calmed down and became her sweet, cuddly self - toward me. She sat on my shoulder and cooed and whistled and nuzzled. And she wasn't jealous of Jade being on my lap at all, which can happen from time to time.

I was talking to her about how she needs to behave even when Max is out and my son said, "Yeah, because we all like Max more than we like Ruby."

This made me really sad, because Ruby is my sweet little grey girl. She will bite my husband and the boys more than she nips me. So, I need to convince them all that they need to start working with her. I think they'll need as much convincing as she will. Wish me luck...this is going to take some time.

Nice that you are so tuned into your bird's moods. I guess I will be having some of what you are having when quarantine here is complete. You will do fine with the birds.
