They are so stunningly beautiful birds - does anybody have one? I'm not into bright colors, but those birds just got me - I keep looking at their pictures very often. :) I tried to look into breeders and sales information, but didn't find anything here in US. As far as I read about them they make pretty decent pets…
Just curious. :52:
Please let me know about your experiences!
Thanks!! :)

I find them at bird shows quite often. They don't consider to be popular pet birds due to them not good at being tamed. There's people that have tamed them but most of the info says not. They're more aviary birds, great to look at.

Like already mentioned, they can be tamed down to a level where they will tolerate you, but they don't seem to have the right character for pets - exceptions exist of course. Pale-headed rosellas are much calmer and friendlier I've heard, but not sure how available they are where you live?

I can't remember who, but one member on here bought one a couple months ago. Hope she finds your thread.

They are beautiful birds, but I think are generally considered aviary birds. As other have said though, just because *most* people keep them in an aviary setting doesn't mean they *can't* be pet-quality birds:)
