Only kept her in the harness for about 15 mins before taking it off. She was agitated for a while picking at it, but after a few mins she settles down and fluffed up and started preening herself.

also have had some success with switching her to Roudybush.
Before she'd pick through and get all the zupreem out, leaving the roudybush and nutriberries in the bowl untouched or she'd dump the bowl and it would all end up in the bottom of the cage.

so I decided that it was time to try something different. I added some water to the bowl of pellets (roudybush, zupreem, and two nutriberries) heated it up in the microwave so it was just a little warm, and mushed it all up. she LOVED it! ate very single bite of it.
we've done this for the past two days now, and bowl gets cleaned each feeding. She has dry pellets still available throughout the day.

She's been making "baby" noises since she's been eating the warm mash, could it be she's remembering her hand feeding formula?

Anyways. just thought I'd share =)

What a great idea about the pellet mash! She is gorgeous:)

just awesome! can't wait to get our B&G home.

Thank you! and YES. LOVE Dr Who and RiverSong is one of my favorite characters =)

I'm very proud of how she did and will keep it up with her.
Can't wait till she is good and comfortable with it and it warms up. I'd love to be able to take her out some. get some pretty pictures of her outdoors hehe

How long did it take river to get use to harness? I showed my Mac the harness and he was very weary. I can handle him and manipulate him to get him in to the harness, but he's not ready yet. Funny thing is he usually pretty easy going with new things. The only things he's been afraid of has been egg cartons and now the harness. Guess I'll keep practicing the movements and hope he gets comfortable seeing the harness and progress from there.

I've been introducing it to her couple times a week for about a month. She probably would have gotten used to it sooner if I had worked with her every day more consistently.

She was scared to death of it to begin with.

Congrats!!!! I love love love the harness!!!!! My Nero went right into his harness from day one, guess it is very bird to bird. He does not like putting it on though, he sees it he flys away, then I ask him if he wants to go outside, then he will allow it to go on without protest. silly bird.

Baby sounds..... maybe its the fact that the food is warm?
