Rita the Military we rescued back in Feb that I showed a video of has made some progress.

She loves to get on my arm, and snuggle up to me. She will also run up my arm as fast as she can to perch on my should. Which the will snuggle up, and rub up against my face. If I try to get her to step up, and she still wants to be on my shoulder she will go down my back, and hang between my shoulders where I can't reach her. A couple weeks ago she was on my arm, and didn't want to step up on the perch yet so she was literally running around my waist so I couldn't catch her.

Her, and my wife are still frienamies. Sometimes she will step up for my wife, and other times she will go at her. She will take almonds from her, and some other food from her without striking at her.

She destroyed one of her toys which was the brightest colored one in her cage, and was playing a little with her other toys in her cage. After we took the destroyed toy out she stopped playing with her other toys, and went back to just chewing on her cage.

We figured it's because she is worried she wouldn't get anymore toys since the previous owners wouldn't buy her new ones because she destroyed them which we all know that's what our fids are meant to do.

Well yesterday my wife pulled out some bright colored pocket folders when Rita was on my shoulder. All of a sudden Rita starts bobbing real fast up, and down, dancing side to side, bobbing forward and backward, and pinpointing like crazy. If my wife shuffled them, moved them up and down or waved them she would go crazy in a good way. So my wife picked up a couple wood balls off of a different toy. Rita chewed them a little then started tossing them for my wife to pick up, and give back to her. This went on for like 5 minutes before we decided that was enough for one night. Her favorite color that really gets her excited is yellow. We figure that she stopped playing with our toys in her cage because she likes the colors and doesn't want to lose them like the toy that was destroyed.
