RIP Ben Bens

My daughter's Jenday Benny died yesterday. I don't know what happened. He was fine in the morning. We found him on the bottom of his cage, wings splayed out. We held him and talked to him until he passed. I'm not sure what happened or if we did something wrong. I would like to know. We made so much progress with him! Poor little guy just got comfortable stepping up last week. Bummer.

Sorry. It's never easy to understand why.

Because birds hide the fact they are ill, you would not easily see that anything was wrong.

There are many reasons for the sudden passing of a bird. He could have had a bacterial infection, Stroke or heart attack. Been bitten by a spider. The list is endless. He could have even been unwell when you got him.
