Rings Game - how to tell my parrot the way to play?

Hello every one

I am looking to buy some activity games for my parrot, but do not know how to start telling the parrot pick up the shape or specific shape to put in the right place, is there any resources to start with?

One more thing i am trying to achieve is some time i give my parrot a ball for example but i notice he moves around and do not stick with area i want to achieve my goal.

If you want to teach a bird to pick an object up and place it somewhere, you give them the object, then place a cup or something beneath it. Once the bird drops the item, you click and reward. Once they figure out that they are supposed to take the object from you and drop it into the cup, you then work on them taking the item from you and having to move a step or two to place the object into the cup. Only reward when it falls in. After that, you can move on to the bird picking up the item to drop it into the cup.

Same idea with the rings.

That's how I taught Rosie, it works really well.

Remember to start small, and that even the tiniest step in improvement is a success. And be prepared to take a few steps back if needed.
