Hiya, when I try to clos ringo's cage he tries to attack my fingers! Is this normal bird behaviour?

It's just a form of cage aggression. It's not something to freak over, but many people do not have this problem often if at all. You cold try putting a treat in his bowl that way he is occupied with going for the treat rather than your fingers. My bird had cage aggression so bad we had to nix the cage and build her a huge tree stand which has made her soooo much more friendly and nice. However, if we introduce her to a cage or jumps into one on display at a store she turns back into a grump again.

Oh, and Ringo is a beautiful bird! What type is he?

My GCC occasionally does this. Usually when he doesn't want to be put away. His cage has a plexi-glass bow front, so my fingers are safe, but he often jumps over to where the locks are as I'm locking it and will run his beak aggressively back and forth as if to try and bite me. He doesn't do it nearly as often as he did when we first brought him home. I wouldn't freak out over it, usually ignoring a behavior you don't like or want, discourages it.

Ohh thats not the picture of him. He is the same breed though (indian ringnecK) but he is kinda opaly couloured, light green with kinda some blue splogy things.

Puck used to do this when he didn't want to be put away. If he was in demon mode, I'd have to be fast!
