I just adopted a 6 year old female african grey named Kayla ..She's a great bird ,pretty gentle ,not very aggressive but still a bit unsure of things ,...Any suggestions on how to win her trust ?
Sit down next to her and eat a treat ..talk to her. What I did and still do with sissy is when I bring a new toy home...I play with it in front of her. Sounds funny but it seems to work for me..just interact with her just out of reach...let her come to you. I found sissy in May and every night I sit on the couch she climbs down and sits on me now. Patience.

Remember, too, that CAGs can be as curious as cats, so she will be captivated if you're doing (or eating!) something interesting. It won't be long before she'll want to get a little closer. Step by step, building trust & interest, she'll come over to you.
We didn't have our CAG long before he wanted to try some of what we were eating (something he'd never been allowed before). That was a turning point for us - once he decided he couldn't contain himself any longer, and came down to help himself to my wife's bowl of granola, that was it. He started doing more of, well, everything.
Thanks for the replies.. .She good for the most part ,takes treaks ,and yes she cant contain herself when i eat she must come over and eat with me ....I have already taught her a few tricks , she spins around, does flips on perch ,and also says ' feed the bird" on cue .....But for some reason gets very nippy and aggressive at times ,kinda random
