When I was looking to adopt another bird, I spent a lot of time talking to this man in Iowa: rescue
I very much wanted to get a bird from him, but 2-3 trips there with needing a good petsitter was too hard for me to do. I do like his philosophy of making sure he is matching the right bird to the right owner.
I wanted to share this with others here in case they can help in any way by adopting a bird, making a donation, sending a cage, etc. If I hadn't found Pete, I would have sent him my old cage. Instead I made him a monetary donation.
