Someone who lives on my street got a dog about a year ago. He yells at her and hits her and I've tried talking him into letting me have her but he never let me. Well a few days ago he died and didn't leave her to anyone in his will so she's with me now. I can't keep her, my special needs dog hates other dogs. I just got her today, he hasnt even met her and he's already mutilating just from her scent. I think she likes other dogs, and she loves people. She doesn't know her name or any commands but she usually follows me everywhere. I'm taking her to a shelter near me tomorrow, I got my dog from there and I've volunteered there for years so I know she'll be well taken care of. She is a german shepard mix so it will take longer to find a home despite her sweet nature. The shelter is no kill, if she doesn't get adopted within a certain amount of time, I don't remember the exact amount but around a few months, she will be sent to a shelter out of state. They usually go up north, mostly wisconsin and vermont, but go to a few other states as well. If anyone wants her please let me know. I can try and get her sent to a specific state.

I'm taking her to the Cheatham County shelter. I can drive her anywhere within a few hours if someone wants her before then.

The shelter wouldn’t take her. I didn’t bring a copy of the will so they said it is considered theft without it. Makes no sense but I am looking for someone else to take her. I had to leave her tied up outside today, she has shade and water but it won’t work more than a couple days. It isn’t that hot but she has a very thick coat
