I watched several videos on youtube to see how to make my own playgym. If you want to be able to do it to w/o spending more than 30-40$ and you get to make it how you want. Pvc piping, sisal rope- hemp rope, pvc dwv fittings like: elbow fittings(Charlotte Pipe*), tee fittings, use a size that fits your pipe, and cut it either at home or in the store, (i used a bread knife [very old]) and wrap the sisal rope around providing grip and i used food coloring to tie dye the sisal rope and Poof you have a playgym your baby watched you make and will love.

but now that i've said all of that, i didn't like the fact that i made it more tall than wide. i decided to redo it and i made it so he can walk all over. i'll show before and after pics. the one of the playgym alone is the old way, and the one w/ the mirror in it is the new way.

Very nice [I think their great :) }

Looks like someone has been spending quite a bit of time at home :P How long to make if I order one? lol

Hey that is great!!!! I am waiting till memorial day weekend to take the pickup to our family cabin and cut a bunch of manzenita branches to make a stand. I plan on gathering more and making a few others to sell cheap on craigslist to locals. It takes nothing to sand it and screw it together when your dad has every power tool known to mankind. They go for like 300-400$ here .....CRAZY!

I bet you had a lot of help with that twine!!! lol. It's terrific!!! Your bird is darling!

My stepdad is a carpenter, and i know my way around tools! infact, im the one that is crafty and repairs most stuff. lol. my hubby is the computer brains. i want to make another one, with wheels and all types of textures, food water and treat trays, toys, bells, the works. i work from home, and i have tons of time in between shifts, and normally Tuukee helps me with that too. {=] i want to get my own workshop[Lintini]. lol, i have a power drill, and the usual.} i love making stuff, and especially for my baby- im even working on a cat tree... p.s. not anywhere near my birdy babie.

Thats a great gym, and a very lucky birdie baby!
