Just wondering if anyone could weigh in on the option of getting a rehomed Quaker.
Not sure what to ask, other than typical any medical issues, any problem or concerning behavior.
What is the down-side?
The bird I'm looking at is a 2 year old.

Downsides? What the person tells you about the bird could be the opposite of what you experience. However, that could also potentially be an upside. Some birds act sweet and loving with their owners and will happily interact with strangers, but when taken out of that environment, will do a 180° in behavior. Others will do the opposite.

Second hand birds can make excellent companions given the chance and some proper training.

What Monica stated is exactly correct, my experience with re homed Quakers which has been in a Delaware rescue the works with ours not in pa as they are illegal.... They can be sweet, but develop territorial issues sometimes which can be fixed easily. They also can be slightly loud( all Quakers are from my expirence with this Delaware rescue). Other then that they are great birds for the most part at love attention and have a great talking ability. They really love toys and being creative from my past expirences.
